The KK Ultra mouthpieces are pioneers in modern designs developed by the Hannover University of Veterinary Medicine based on the results of a measurement of the oral cavities of horses, an initiative by Sprenger to discover the conditions of space and position in an innovative way of the embouchures in the horse's mouth. The equine oral cavity offers little space and high sensitivity that has to be taken advantage of by anatomical adjustments in such a way that comfortable and effective communication with the rider is possible.
They achieve their unique and precise effect thanks to the special 45º angle of the central link. When used correctly, it increases the horse's confidence in the rider's hand.
Compared to conventional bits, the central link has been shortened, this is an anatomical adaptation that significantly optimizes the effect, being much more pronounced and precise than conventional double mouthpieces.
When making contact with the reins, the central link, also known as a "rhombus" due to its shape, gently runs over the central area of the horse's tongue, stimulating its sense of oral touch without exerting pressure.
Made with Sensogan, a material patented by Sprenger together with the Veterinary School of Hannover and the German Riding School Warendord composed of a small percentage of copper with two trace elements, magnesium, and zinc that not only promote salivation and chewing for a correct acceptance of the mouthpiece but releases a small amount of magnesium helping to relax the horse's muscles.
